Paranormal Beliefs

We have become disillusioned as a society.  We don’t believe in much these days.   While skeptics serve a purpose, I fear skeptics are taking over.    Now, I’m not talking about religion (that’s a whole other can of worms).  I’m talking about the paranormal.    I used to think that people would believe in UFO’s, ghosts, bigfoot, and other things if they saw it with their own eyes.  I no longer believe this.  With all of the opinions I’ve read that people have, I don’t believe people will believe.

If an apparition suddenly stands before these disillusioned people, they won’t believe it.  They’ll think they are just imagining it or something they ate went bad.  Even if the ghost yells “Helloooooooo! I’m a ghost!”  and you can see right through them, the non-believer won’t believe.   So it’s common sense that pictures of ghosts are immediately rejected and explained away by these people.

If they see a light in the sky, they’ll say it’s just a helicopter or an airplane, or even a satellite.  I bet that even if they were abducted and probed, they’d try to take masks off of the aliens.

As for bigfoot and other cryptids?  If they had the dead body of a sasquatch in front of them, they’d search for wires and seams to prove it’s a fake.

I have seen a UFO.  I have had encounters with a few ghosts. I have heard things, felt things and seen things that are paranormal.

I will go right on believing.  I will not be one of the disillusioned.   I believe in the paranormal but I don’t believe in people.
